Opening a credit union account

To open a credit union account you will need identification of who you are and where you live (this can be a bank card, driving licence, passport, utility bill, landlord letter, benefits letter etc) An existing member can also propose you for membership. The membership card / form of nomination in the event of your death needs to be completed and witnessed at one of the credit union collection points

Adult Membership

There is a one off entrance fee of £1 to join the credit union – this charge covers the cost of issue of a passbook, membership handbook and the postage as the welcome pack is posted to your home address (as at Nov 2012 there is also £3 annual charge for adult accounts)

Junior Membership

Junior accounts are free to operate, there is no joining fee
